The dog park was built with supplies, labor, and funds all
donated by Norman, O.U. and the surrounding communities. Norman Parks & Recreation will maintain the site, as it is city
property.
The Dog Park Volunteers have sponsored the park and will adopt the
park to keep it functioning well.
Southwestern Wire donated the fencing for the park.
The Big Event Group from O.U. donated the cement for the postholes
and installed most of the poles at the site. They held a rally prior to the event including the dog park as one of their projects
for the Big Event day.
A volunteer group organized by Mary Katherine Long placed the last
of the poles in the park.
Boy Scout Troop #219 organized by Scout Tim Ashley completed most
of the installation of the fencing for the park.
Members of the Dog Park Volunteers finished the park with several
Saturdays working in the park.
Five veterinarians placed our donation containers at six sites to
help raise funds for the dog park. They did this for the dog park for four months.

Norman Dog Park Volunteers for raising funds, donating time and hard work, and ideas on ways
to raise funds for the dog park.
We have a large group of Norman Dog Park Volunteers who work in the dog park, find supplies
for the park, and solicit funds for the park. They also donate funds themselves and take part in events in Norman and the
surrounding community that are concerned with the welfare of dogs. They do this to help raise funds to help the dog park.
