Norman Mardi Gras, 2-21-09
Lisa & Betty decorated the pickup Saturday with a big stuffed dog on the cab & lights, dog
park banners and garlands on the back.
Monica and Betty walked dogs in the parade, Elisha walked the parade, Lisa,
Elizabeth & Omni (German Shepherd) rode in the back of the pickup. They had music back
there! We all laughed and threw tons of beads!
Phil had the tough part; he drove the truck while
avoiding little kids picking up beads off the street and dogs running along side. And Us! Great job, Phil!

The parade was crazy, lots of fun & creative costumes.
I loved handing out beads to the wee ones along the parade while they petted Heidi, my Cocker Spaniel, dressed
in a yellow boa.
Our performing Terrier was doing tricks with his
owner again; very cute! We had dogs & owners from other groups in the parade behind us. Great fun; now time to rest!
Thanks to all who participated and helped... it IS hard
work.
